Brahma Temple in Pushkar when Sir Thomas Roe met with Jahangir here in 1616.

Day 02
Pushkar – Jaipur
Early morning visit the Bramha temple, the Ghats & Lake(Many Ghats run down to the
Holy Lake where pilgrims are constantly bathing in the holy waters. Joining people at
the ghats has to be with some respect for their culture and privacy. And for this
reason, removing shoes before approaching the ghats, no smoking and restraining
from photographing bathing people is well avoided. The Pilgrims here are sensitive
about comments by non-Hindus. The famed waters of the Pushkar lake wash away
the sins of a lifetime. The mystical water is also believed to cure skin diseases,
making Pushkar the Lourdes of the East). Later drive to Jaipur. On arrival check in

Jaipur is the capital city of Rajasthan, better known as the land of kings. It is
popularly described as the Pink City of India because mostly buildings are pink

Day 04
Jaipur- Mandawa
Morning drive to Mandawa. The compact and busy little market town of Mandawa was
settled and fortified in 18th century by the dominant merchant families of the region.
The wealthy businessmen of the village constructed many havelis and baolis with
colored painting adorning their walls. Later on, with the migration of these merchant
families, their old settlements remained in total obscurity with no one to look after
them.
Despite the time lapse and ignorance about these visual and architectural
extravaganzas, their attraction did not fade and today they are some of the major
attractions for the tourists visiting Rajasthan
Mandawa provides the visitors with a sense of discovery at every turn; battlements
that offer spectacular views of the town below, a whimsical peacock weather van,
and an arched window that overlooks the verdant garden visited by peacocks. Most
importantly, the fact that no two rooms are alike in the palace here. In the zenana or
women's quarters, one room offers antique murals, another has a marble fountain,
and the turret room boasts of walls that are seven feet thick. Looking out from the
window of the turret room, it is easy to imagine the marauding bandits that once
roamed freely here. Little wonder then that the family crest contains the motto, 'Veer
Bhogya Vasundhara', which translates into 'the brave shall inherit the earth'.
Founded in the 18th century, the medieval fort of Mandawa dominates the town with
a painted arched gateway adorned with Lord Krishna and his cows. The Chokhani
and Ladia havelis and the street with Saraf havelis are some of the splendid
examples of this region's.
On arrival check in the hotel. Later visit the beautiful Havelis of Mandawa.
Day 05
Mandawa- Bikaner
Morning drive to Bikaner. Bikaner's history date backs to 1488A.D. when a Rathore
Prince. Rao Bikaji- a descendant of the founder of Jodhpur(1459A.D.) Rao Jodhaji,
established his kingdom here. Rao Jodhaji had five sons but Rao Jodhaji had five
sons but rao Bikaji was the most enterprising of them. The well of Bikaner-an
important source of water are another attraction of the city. These are built on high
plinth with slender minareted towers on each of the Four Corners and can be noticed
even from a distance.
Bikaji chose a barren wilderness called "jangladesh" and transformed it to an
impressive city, called Bikaji after the Founder's Name. The strategic location of
Bikaner on the ancient caravan routes that came from west/Central Asia, made it
a Prime trade center in the times of the year. Bikaner stands on a slightly raised
ground and is circumscribed by a seven km long embattled wall with five gates. The
magnificent forts and palaces created with d elicacy in reddish-pink, sandstone, bear
testimony to its historical and architectural legacy. Undulating lanes, colorful
bazaars and bright and cheerful folks make Bikaner an interesting experience.
On arrival check in the hotel. Later visit the Junagarh fort, Lalgarh Palace & the most
Important Deshnok temple(It is a pilgrim centre of Karni Mata. Karni Mata, considered
as an incarnation of Goddess Durga lived here in the fourteenth century and
performed many miracles. Originally the village was called 'dus- nok' meaning ten
corners as it was formed by taking ten corners of ten villages.
Before the temple is a beautiful marble facade, which has solid silver doors built by
Maharaja Ganga Singh. Across the doorway are more silver doors with panels
depicting the various legends of the Goddess. The image of the Goddess is enshrined
in the inner sanctum).
Day 06
Bikaner-Jaisalmer

kingdoms of Rajputana before the border between India and Pakistan. The people of
Jaisalmer believe Lord Krishna prophecied to Arjuna that one of his descendants
would establish a kingdom on Trikuta Hill. The Lord’s prophecy was fulfilled in 1196
AD when Rawal Jaisal, a Bhatti Rajput who traced his lineage to Krisnna’s Yadava
clan, shifted his capital from Lodurva (16 km away) to Trikuta Hill. Jaisalmer
earned great wealth and glory in its heyday, because it was strategically located on
the most lucrative of trade routes between Central Asian kingdoms and the Far
East. Merchants were valued citizens and their houses or havelis are legendary with
ornate, intricately carved façades of sandstone. The Bhatti Rajputs of Jaisalmer grew
rich living off the rich caravans that crossed their territory till their days of glory
slowly came to an end with the burgeoning of the shipping trade through the port at
Mumbai.
Jaisalmer’s past glories can be seen in its impressive golden fort on Trikuta Hill that
dominates the horizon. The fort houses a township with markets, palaces, temples
and exquisite carved sandstone havelis. Today, these homes are national treasures
and art museums that are still inhabited. This last outpost of the Indian Republic is
valued for its heritage as much as for its brave citizens, its people and culture,
